Our terms of use and legal framework.
The Guarantor provides a rental guarantor service. These terms set out how you use our service, the tenant and landlord/agent application processes, fees and responsibilities. By accessing the service or submitting an application you agree to these terms.
The Guarantor offers a rental guarantor service for tenant applicants and allows landlords and agents to apply for it. We are not an insurance or credit institution; our service is provided under private contractual rent guarantor agreements. The final guarantor fee/amount is determined after full assessment of your application.
Tenant applicants complete the steps on the site (affordability calculator, personal and income details, payment of the application fee, acceptance of terms and conditions). After applying, they may need to complete identity verification (KYC), document uploads, property details, reference contacts and contract signing via the dashboard. The application fee is to demonstrate your seriousness and cover checks we carry out; it is non-refundable. The initial quote you receive is indicative based on the information you provide; the final amount is confirmed after assessment.
Landlords or agents complete an application form with property and tenant details. An application fee may be requested by the administrator; in that case it is paid via the dashboard. Identity verification (KYC), property details and document uploads, and contract signing complete the process.
The application fee and any quote amount are payable as indicated on the site or during the application. Payments are taken via a secure payment provider (e.g. Stripe). The application fee is non-refundable. The final guarantor fee/amount is determined after full review and may be charged separately.
Identity verification is carried out through authorised service providers. For tenant applications, reference contacts are entered and those contacts are emailed a reference form. Negative responses or missing information may affect the outcome of the application.
Documents required from applicants (ID, income, property documents, etc.) are uploaded via the dashboard. Additional documents may be requested. The contract is completed through an e-signature process; the signed document may be uploaded to the system.
By using the service and submitting an application you accept these terms and the relevant privacy policy. Providing false or incomplete information may lead to rejection of your application or termination of the contract. The legal framework and supervisory authorities depend on the country in which the service is offered.
The Guarantor may update these terms from time to time; the current version will be published on the site. For questions about the terms please use the contact details on the website.
